Website revamp and redesign 2025
I haven’t written any photography blogs in years. Looking back, I regret deleting my WordPress blog—if only there was an undo button for that! But hey, what’s done is done. It’s time to dust myself off and give it another go.
To kickstart things, I decided to hire a professional to review my website’s SEO and design. Let’s be real—trying to understand how the SEO ecosystem works on my own has been nothing short of frustrating. With 2025 here, it’s high time to get the fundamentals right.
That’s definitely me!
When the designer gave my website an in-depth review, I was shocked—okay, horrified—to learn how much had gone wrong behind the scenes. Technical SEO? Proper website functionality? Let’s just say I had no idea what I was missing. The amount of detail was overwhelming at first, and I had to take it one baby step at a time. Was it stressful? Absolutely. But after a week of diving in, I finally started to crack the SEO code—understanding what needed fixing, what changes to make, and why it all mattered.
It was tedious work, but the experience taught me a valuable lesson: designers charge a premium for a reason. The level of expertise and effort they bring to the table is worth every cent.
So, my 2 cents of advice? Hire a professional! Trying to DIY your website might seem cost-effective, but if you’re not sure what you’re doing, you’re likely running in blind circles. Yes, it’s an investment, but one that saves you from endless frustration and sets you up for success in the long run. Trust me, it’s worth it.
Lastly, hiring an SEO designer doesn’t guarantee that your website will stay at the top of the rankings organically for 365 days, let alone on the first page. However, you don’t want your site to be buried too deep where it can’t be found. With people’s attention spans getting shorter, visibility is key.
